What to expect during consult?

The doctor will check your scalp. We will take your medical history, and any ongoing medications need to be disclosed at this time. Also, we will ask you if anyone else in your family has faced a similar problem. Since how long have you been facing hair fall? Did you undergo any treatment before? Our doctor will ask you about your lifestyle, and also we will ask about your expectations from the surgery. We will make you understand the whole surgery procedure: it’s a daycare procedure only in case you have severe baldness; then only surgery will take 2 sessions; else, usually, it takes 6 hours. We will ask you for blood investigations that have to be done before surgery. If you have done similar blood test in the last 3 months, it can be shown to the doctor. Also, we will give you pre-care and post-care treatment.

Treatment Protocol at Medaesx Healthcare

It can be done in two types: Follicular unit extraction (FUE) and Follicular unit transplantation (FUT).In our clinic, we do an Advanced FUE procedure, and wherein there is no scalpel or stitches to perform an Advanced FUE procedure, our surgeon takes these steps: We shave off the hair on the back of your head. Our surgeon then takes individual follicles out of the scalp skin. You’ll see tiny marks where each follicle was removed. As with the Advanced FUE procedure, the surgeon makes small holes in your scalp and grafts hair follicles into the holes. Depending upon the donor area, we can take out thousands of hair follicles. The procedure takes about 6-8 hours. Then we cover the surgical site with bandages. You are advised to visit on day 7 for a hair wash and follow-up.
